Mary Habeck, PhD

Dr. Habeck is a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. She was an associate professor in strategic studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from 2005-2013. From 2008 to 2009, she was the special adviser for strategic planning on the National Security Council staff. Before joining SAIS, Habeck taught military history and strategic thought in Yale University’s history department. She blogs about national security at Applied Grand Strategies.


Nathan Hitchen 

Mr. Hitchen is a researcher and a director on the board of the Equal Rights Institute. Previously, he worked for the Corporate Executive Board as a senior analyst and at domestic and foreign policy think tanks in Washington, D.C. He completed his M.A. at Johns Hopkins SAIS, and was a John Jay Institute fellow (2007-2008). He is the author of Breakthrough: A Guide for Creating Conservative Futures and You’ve Been Framed: A New Primer for the Marriage Debate.
